I am 6 Years Old!

My 6th year old birthday this year falls during the school holiday and so Daddy and Mummy celebrated on the last day of school before holiday starts. This is the cake Mummy and I ordered together. It's Ben10 design. Mummy was cheapo about it and ordered a 1.5 kg cake as she thought since the birthday celebration starts at about 10.50am and school ends at 11.30am, there is really no need to buy a bigger cake.

The cake was then cut into pieces by the school attendant and then every child queued up for a piece of the cake. I had a big serving because Mama had let me go to school without breakfast. I had taken too long to prepare for breakfast and Mama decided to punish me by lettting me go to school hungry ;p

The cake was delicious. After school that day, we went to Yan Palace for lunch to celebrate Daddy and Mummy's 10th wedding anniversary. Then we went to White Room Studio for a photoshoot before dinner at Le Tian restaurant at Lot 1. I like the food at Yan Palace so much that I asked to go there again a few weeks later. But my wish was not granted. ;p

As Papa had evening class on my birthday, Mama bought a cake for us to celebrate the night before my birthday. Mama thought Papa can decorate the cake with me but ended up it was me and Mama who did it together.

On my actual birthday, Mama brought me and David to Playful Elves, an indoor playground I had not been to for a long time since David's birth. I really enjoyed all of my 2 hours there and so did David. :)

Then we took MRT to Redhill where my Da Yi  Po stays. This is my Si Jiu Gong and Aunty Cvannelle's dog.

Si Jiu Gong sent us home after dinner in his van. What a day!

My Family Picture

Last month was kind of special as it's Daddy and Mummy's 10th year wedding anniversary. So we went to White Room Studio for a photo shoot. Our photographer is Uncle Dan and I really like him! Here are a few pictures he had taken.

Lovely pictures, right? Mama said if she wants another photo-shoot, she will go back to White Room again.
Uncle Dan also told Daddy not to ask me to behave myself at the studio as they prefer kids to be their natural selves at the studio. He would make funny faces before pressing the shutter and I really laughed out loud at his funny faces. This is how he managed to capture me laughing so happily. These photos were taken between 3.15pm-4.15pm in the afternoon and that's when both me and David were tired. This might be why when we came to the last few shots, David probably didn't smile anymore. ;p

My Good Friend

The Indian boy next to me is named Sohum and he is my classmate from PCF. I love to play with him. Mama observed he is very good with his body and he can jump quite far. He is also a very active boy. He also has a younger brother who was born a few months ago. If Mama remembers correctly, he can cycle a 2-wheel bicycle too.

This is us playing together at the playground downstairs. It was re-opened yesterday after going through a reconstruction process for a few months.

Mama remembers there was once my PCF classmates from the playground did not want to play with me but Sohum played with me. For that, Mama is grateful to him. :)

David is 10 Months Old Today!

Dear all,
David turns 10 months old today! Here is a picture of him and Mama. :)

At 10 months old, David can do the following
1) crawl on all fours
2) pull himself up to standing position (sometimes, I pull him up too)
3) feed himself Gerber stars one at a time
4) clap
5) make baby sounds
6) scratch people though not on purpose
7)straighten his legs so that he can't be put in high chair if he does not want to sit in high chair
8) many other things

Daddy also said he is more stubborn than me while Mama thinks he has better body sense.
He does look like me when I was a baby except he is of bigger size. When he went for his 9 month old assessment, he already weighed 10kg. I was only 7.5kg when I turned one year old.

But one thing for sure, we are both smiley babies. Mama remembers I used to greet her with a smile every morning when I was a baby too.

Here are more cute pictures of him.

Catching Up

Dear all,
Ever since Mama went to work, she has been very lazy about blogging. The year 2013 is almost gone and she only wrote one post so far! Here are some hightlights she missed out.

Last year, after going to the school Mama worked in, I had chickenpox. That was Oct 2012.
Then, Papa and Mama made plans to move our family to Jakarta as Papa was offered a teaching job in Jakarta. Mama found out I was going to have another sibling and they decided to stay put in Singapore.

Let's see if there are other highlights.
This is mid-autumn festival 2012. Mama brought me down for some fun and a neighbour kindly gave us some sparklers. I loved them! Unfortunately, I lost a bunch of keys soon after the picture was taken. The keys fell into the lift shaft and Mama caned me for my mistake.

This is me exploring smart TV when Papa brought us to Liang Court for lunch after church one Sunday.

Nowadays, I like to say Starbucks is my favourite. Here is a picture of me when Papa brought us to Starbucks at Liang Court after lunch.

My current favourite holiday activity is to take MRT to places. Just 2 weeks into school holidays, I had already travelled on all the major MRT lines in Singapore. I had also taken all the 3 LRT lines in Bukit Panjang, Seng Kand and Punggol. Quite something, yah?

That's about all for the moment. Tomorrow will be another busy and exciting weekend. Stay tuned! :-)

Mama School

Or more accurately, the school Mama was working in. Mama has been a shadow teacher from July to October. One day, she brought me to the school as she did not need to work but had to pick something up. I still remember we took a MRT to Bukit Batok and then boarded bus 173.

Mama spoke to Mr Lim outside the staffroom while I played with the games on her handphone. We also saw Miss Leong, the Science HOD who said I seem to be looking at the colourful surroundings. We ended the trip with a bowl of noodles at the school canteen. When we first arrived, there were many children at the canteen. Mama said they were having recess but when we were about to go home, there were no more children. Mama said they had gone back to class.

Here are some pictures of me eating a bowl of bee hoon on my own. I wanted to eat maggie mee. This is usually available in the form of fishball noodles in the school canteen but the canteen holder did not cook any instant noodles and I chose the white beehoon instead.

Oh, I also asked Mama to buy me a small bottle of juice and she did. See, it's near my bowl of noodle soup and I finished it all on my own!

Mama thought this is like a preview of me attending a primary school in a few years' time.....
