Iron Man in the Making?

Hi, look at what I found on the floor? There was one afternoon when Mama caught me placing the plug in my mouth...

Doing Household Chores

Dear all,

Doing household chore can be quite a boring thing to watch. Just look at what happened to me when I was forced to wait and watch while Mama vacuum and mope the house.

The Chicken Drumstick

A couple of weeks before my birthday, when Mama brought me to the coffeeshop opposite to buy chicken rice for her lunch, the Uncle selling chicken rice told her to buy me a chicken drumstick when I turn one year old and let me bite it. Of course, I am not supposed to eat it. It's just posing for the camera. Mama thought it will make a nice picture and so on my birthday, she got me a drumstick after Papa reminded her about it.

Here are some pictures of me "eating" the drumstick.

Guess what, during the process of the picture taking, a piece of chicken skin was really bitten off by me! =p

I am a "lady-killer" already!

Absolutely no gimmick here..(I was not even aware !):Look closely at the two photos blogged at the previous post:
As you can see, 2 different girls were actually looking at me when these photos were taken! See, i am already a "lady-killer" (this term was coined by Gugu and Mama...)! Do you know that I have many "girlfriends" already..haha!

On retrospect, I should have looked around and invited them on the kiddies ride with me...heehee..;)

Kiddie Rides

Today, Mama brought me to a mall and we were about to go home when we saw some kiddie rides and Mama decided to let me try out the rides. though this is not the first time I am placed in a kiddy ride, I still kind of enjoyed it. As Mama has no coins with her, I could only ride them in stationary mode. Still, good enough for me to enjoy myself. Anyway, these rides are not cheap. Each ride cost $2. Mama guesses it's expensive partly because up to 3 kids are allowed on the machine. So in a way, it's kind of value for money compared to other rides which cost $1 per child.

Hmm, will I be a pilot when I grow up?

Or a bus driver?

My Birthday Brick Truck

Dear all,

For my first birthday, Aunty Cheyanne and Uncle Denton gave me this brick truck to help me learn to walk. When this birthday gift was opened during my birthday party, I took to it very well and walked around the house with it. Here is a video Mama took when I was using it just now. Thanks again, Aunty Cheyanne and Uncle Denton! God bless you! :D

My First Birthday Celebration!

Dear all,

I am already 1 year old. How time flies. Last year this time, I was still a newborn and now I am no longer a baby.

My birthday celebration took place on 3 different days. As Nai Nai firmly insisted that my birthday should be celebrated on the weekend before the actual day rather than celebrate it belated, Papa and Mama catered a buffet lunch at our home and invited the closer extended family members over for lunch on the Saturday that just passed.

The next day, our church family celebrated my birthday by singing a birthday song and Reverend Susan Lim prayed for me after the worship service in church ended.

Then on the day just before my birthday, Papa brought me to his office to celebrate my birthday with his colleagues.

Mama finds it funny that before my actual birthday came, I had already attended all the celebrations. On the morning of my actual birthday, Papa said he has had enough of celebrating my birthday and wishing me happy birthday. Haha.

This morning, when Mama weighed me, she found out I have put on 6 kg from the day I was born and she was happy to note this increase as she read that most babies put on 6-8kg of weight in their first year. This came unexpected as my weight increase has not been satisfactory to her as I seem to have stop putting on weight for the past 2 months or so. Now, I seem to have gained weight again.

Mama read that when my next birthday is celebrated, I will be quite different from what I am now as the second year is also a year of many growth and development. So second year, here I come!

The Brat in the Library

Yes, this is how Mama described me after she tried to bring me to the library last Friday. You see, we went to the library after we had our lunch and I was actually tired and trying to sleep but Mama thought the new environment of the library would interest me. We had to leave soon as I was noisy but not before borrowing a few books.

Then, I fell asleep while Mama was preparing to bring me home and so she decided to bring me back to the library again since I was sleeping and it was really quite a hot afternoon to wheel me home all the way from the MRT station back to our place. So I had a sound sleep of an hour and a half or so in the air-conditioned comfort of the library and Mama could read her book in peace.

After I woke up, I was given a bottle of milk and I was somewhat better but still a little noisy and we left not long after. When will I get to go to the library again? Anyone interested in bringing me there?

MRT Trip

This is Mama taking me to Novena for lunch for the first time. We went there by MRT. I have always been attracted by the rumbling sound made by the MRT train that passes by when I am in my pram and we are travelling on the pavement along the MRT tracks. Now I am finally getting to travel a "long" distance ride. Ok, 40 minutes or so may not be long to you but it probably is to me.

Along the way, I met this lady who sat next to us and she made me giggle so hard that I attracted many looks from the passengers nearby. When I found Mama trying to take a video of me, I tried to stop her. Looking at the video below, don't you think I am behaving like a celebrity trying to protect my privacy from the paparazzi? ;p

My Crown

Today, Mama brought me to Novena to meet Aunty Huishan for lunch. We took the MRT from Yew Tee to Novena. When we came up from the escalator in the MRT station to Novena Square, Burger King was the first restaurant Mama saw and she decided we would settle there and have Aunty Huishan join us there. This is an answered prayer too as Mama had prayed she can find a place with baby chair so that I can join in the meal with her and Aunty Huishan.

After settling me in the baby chair, Mama fed me with some rice cereal. A lady who worked in the restaurant came to us with a paper crown for me. Well, I really don't like anything on my head and this paper crown is no exception. I kept tugging at it and wanted to remove it. Still, Mama managed to get some deceiving shots that look as if I liked it. Talk about camera tricks.

See what I mean? I am not praising the Lord but I'm actually trying to remove the crown... haha..

Here's another one.

Soon after I finished my rice cereal, I fell asleep and Mama was able to have a good time catching up with Aunty Huishan over lunch and I only woke up after they had eaten and talked much about their journey of motherhood. You see, Aunty Huishan has a little girl by the name of Esther and she is only 2 days older than me. In fact, Mama's water bag burst in the evening on the same day she visited Aunty Huishan and Esther Jie Jie in the hospital.

After lunch, Mama and Aunty Huishan parted ways and we went home in a MRT. More about the MRT trip in another post. That's all for now.

49 Weeks old

Hi there, I am 49 weeks old now. This picture was taken when we were going out in the evening. Mama thinks this picture will serve as an evidence that I know how to put my pacifier in my mouth and I have been doing this since many months ago.

Nowadays, I can crawl very fast and it does not take long for me to crawl from my room to Mama's room. When left unattended, I had been caught playing with the cordless phone in Mama's room. Mama thinks I like fiddling with the cordless phone as some of the buttons beep when pressed. Another toy that I like is the rubber door stopper. The kind that looks like a wedge and can prevent the door from banging shut.

These "fit" my little hands nicely and I can explore them with my hands. I also like to place the door stopper in my mouth maybe because I need a good chew and the door stopper is good for this. By the way, do you know that the surface underneath the door stopper is not a plain surface?

There were occasions when Mama and Papa let me face the consequence of removing the door stopper from the wooden door and the door came towards me slowly but heavily. I tried to push the door away but it came swinging back again at me, all because I was holding the door stopper in my hands. A few days ago, Mama left me in the living room and when she came back again, I was holding the door stopper in my hands. When Mama shouted my name, I quickly threw the door stopper away and pretended that I was just tossing it around. Mama thinks this is so funny. Yes, I already know how to pretend.. Is it any wonder that the Bible says we are all of sinful nature?

On another occasion, Mama was preparing my pram at the entrance of the door and when she turned around to get me, the door actually hit her elbow because I had quietly removed the door stopper behind her back. She scolded me and glared at me with a very angry look. I just looked at her maybe because I had not seen that facial expression before, perhaps an expression of both anger and pain.

I can also cruise along the furniture in the house. At times, Mama thinks I remind her of doing some kind of obstacle course when she was a teen. This is because I can hold to the coffeetable with one hand, turn my body around and then hold the sofa with another. This will help me face the sofa and I can then cruise along the sofa. Smart leh? Mama thinks this act requires nothing less than the courage that is required to do those rope obstacles found at some adventure centres.

Nowadays, I am also eating more regular solid meals. In addition to the milk feeds, I usually eat a small bowl of cereal in the morning. Sometimes, Mama give me bread or tau sar pau instead to add variety. Then a small bowl of porridge with meat and vegetables (if available) at around noon time. In the evening, another small bowl of porridge. I do love my food and I can eat quite fast if I am hungry.

I am also getting quite interested in the computer that Mama is using. Just look at this.

And of course, I still like Hi5. When the show comes on, I will hit the ground with my hands a few times. In fact, I seem to be doing this when I hear any singing. Maybe I should be sent for music classes when I am older.

Alright, here's another picture to round off this post. Thanks for reading and may God keep you and make His face shine upon you. :)

Eating Dragon Fruit

hi all, here's a video of me eating dragon fruit for the first time. As you can see, I am also multi-tasking, trying to hang on to the coffee table, eat my fruit and being camera conscious. Although I don't look like I like the fruit much, I still smiled when Mama took this picture after I have eaten.
