Or more accurately, the school Mama was working in. Mama has been a shadow teacher from July to October. One day, she brought me to the school as she did not need to work but had to pick something up. I still remember we took a MRT to Bukit Batok and then boarded bus 173.
Mama spoke to Mr Lim outside the staffroom while I played with the games on her handphone. We also saw Miss Leong, the Science HOD who said I seem to be looking at the colourful surroundings. We ended the trip with a bowl of noodles at the school canteen. When we first arrived, there were many children at the canteen. Mama said they were having recess but when we were about to go home, there were no more children. Mama said they had gone back to class.
Here are some pictures of me eating a bowl of bee hoon on my own. I wanted to eat maggie mee. This is usually available in the form of fishball noodles in the school canteen but the canteen holder did not cook any instant noodles and I chose the white beehoon instead.
Oh, I also asked Mama to buy me a small bottle of juice and she did. See, it's near my bowl of noodle soup and I finished it all on my own!
Mama thought this is like a preview of me attending a primary school in a few years' time.....

Nai Nai's birthday
For Nai Nai's birthday this year, we had 2 rounds of celebration. Nai nai asked to have a birthday dinner at Imperial Herbal restaurant and so we had dinner there on the Saturday just before her actual birthday. After dinner, Shen Shen arranged to have us go over her place for dinner on the following Thursday and it turned out it was Nai nai's actual birthday. So we decided to turn it into a small birthday celebration. Papa bought a cake on his way home after work. Here are some pictures taken on Thursday.
Papa and me sharing some moments together.
Papa and Mama thought it would be interesting to have me take a picture against the wall as I was wearing a yellow shirt that day. From that day onwards, I often asked Mama is the wall in Shu Shu's house is still yellow when we pass by his place on our way home from school. I had thought it was purple but after some time, the wall had turned to yellow! Mama tried to explain some renovations had been done but I was unable to understand what happened.
If Mama remembers correctly, the pictures below were all taken by me. This year, I wanted to take pictures and Nai nai didn't to pose with me.
Don't ask why Mama seems like she is the birthday girl, standing in front of the cake. It's a matter of perspective. I was actually standing next to Nai nai when I took the above picture. You can see her hand at the bottom left hand corner of the picture.
This one was taken years ago on Nai nai's birthday when I was younger. Then, I knew not what was happening. Now, I can easily belt out the birthday song in English, Mandarin and Malay, all thanks to my school. :)

The Icing on the Cake
My 4 and a half Years Old Birthday
On 18th September 2012, Tuesday, I turned exactly 4 and a half years old. Mama has been reading this blog of Aunty Cheyanne's friend who celebrates her daughters' birthday every 6 months and she decided to do something special for me on my 4.5 years old birthday.
On that day, Mama brought me to school in the morning as usual but she told Teacher Karen she will fetch me early that day as she wanted to take me out. So she came for me earlier some time before 3 pm. I was still taking my nap then and was woken up. See, this is me still sleepy....

Mama brought me for a snack and drink at Mac Donalds' at Causeway Point. She chose this place as she received a tipoff from Teacher Karen there is an Icing Room here. See, I am still kind of sleepy. Mama thought the toy from the happy meal is a nice one. She even guided me where to stick the labels on the toy car.

Starbucks
Dear all,
Mama has been working some of the times and lazy at other times. This explains why my blog has not been updated much. This is me at Starbucks at Liang Court, engrossed with my iPad game. I was not too interested in the drink Papa ordered nor the apple juice Mama got for me.
Mama has decided I am the type who eats to live and it's a waste of money to buy me good food. In fact, she probably buys this idea so much that when she was at a Japanese steamboat buffet recently, she ate all the wagyu beef slices on her own and offered me none! She only remembered she had not given me any beef the day after the meal or something. Sigh.

Mama and Me
This is me and Mama when we popped by Papa's graduation ceremony for a short while to say Hi to Mama's colleagues at Biblical Graduate School of Theology. Mama worked there from end Dec 2011 to end of May 2012. Now, Mama can spend more time with me. Yeah! :D
Mama particularly like the words printed on the backdrop. We did not take a picture at this spot intentionally. Mama only saw these words when she saw the picture Aunty En Jin took for us. Mama hopes I will also grow in Christlikeness and develop an integrated worldview for effective service in the Church and the Market place. Amen. :)

Countdown to Shu Shu and Aunty Dawn's Wedding
For the past 2 weeks, I had been at home with Mama because of hand-foot-mouth disease and I often told Mama I wanted to go to Shu Shu's wedding now.
So Mama came up with an idea. She sat next to me at the computer and helped me put a table on an empty Word document. She then got me to key in the numbers in each square and we printed this out. She taught me to cross out one box every day until we reached the box at the bottom left hand corner.
Ok, it may be too faint for you to see it but that word says "wedding".
So every one or two days, I will make crosses in the boxes. Shu shu's wedding is just 2 weeks from now. I want to go Shu Shu's wedding!! :)
Church Wedding
Dear all,
These were taken when I attended a church wedding on 14th April 2012.
If you are wondering where are the pictures of the bride and groom, sorry, there aren't any. Mama thinks the church wedding is probably another iPad gaming session to me. She was slightly amused how I was able to attract so many friends with an iPad. What's more, I was able to gently shrug off any hands that are unwelcomed so that I maintained the ownership of the iPad. Though I am not aggressive, I am certainly no pushover either. No episode of the iPad being snatched away from some bullies and me bursting out in tears.
Maybe this because these children grew up in Christian homes and they are very well brought up. Mama also enjoyed herself catching up with her reading somewhere nearby.
This wedding was held in Johor Bahru followed by a 8 course lunch reception.
During the wedding service, I clung to Mama like a koala bear and with her explanation, I managed to sit through the wedding procession as well as the praise and worship. Mama took the chance to educate me about being a page boy for Shu Shu's wedding. I agreed to help Shu Shu carry the ring pillow during his wedding.
When I were not able to stay in the worship hall, Mama took me out and we found some nice sofa outside the worship hall where I played with my parents' iPad.
This is Papa and me, waiting for Nai Nai, Shu Shu and Aunty Dawn to come out of the shopping mall behind us. The worship hall was actually in this mall. After this, we went for a 8 course wedding lunch reception. It was just like a typical Chinese wedding dinner in Singapore, except it was held in the afternoon.
Mama thinks my behaviour at the lunch reception was rather commendable even though I was really tired. The reception only started at around 2.30pm and finished at around 4pm. By the time we arrived back in Singapore at around 6pm, I was so tired that I fell asleep in Papa's car. Now, I am looking forward to Shu Shu and Aunty Dawn's wedding almost everyday but that's for another post. :)
A Secret Visit to Mama's Office
On Maundy Thursday, Papa has to go for his evening Bible Class and Nai Nai wanted to go for Maundy Thursday evening service. Hence Mama took a half day off from her work in the afternoon to make dinner for me and fetch me from school. When she fed me dinner, she thought she should try to bring me to Papa's bible school where her office is since it is a public holiday the following day and so we made our way to the school Papa is studying in.
First we had to take MRT to Bishan and changed to Circle Line. Mama realised she had not taken a MRT with me for quite a while. The train was not crowded and here I am, showing Mama my funny face.
When we got to Mama's office, she let me go to the library and I took to this steering wheel. It's actually for manouvering the compactus. I had some fun here, turning the wheel round and round. This is right at the back of the library, the furthest from Papa's classroom. Mama thought if she kept me occupied here, I will not disrupt the class.
Oh, by the way, when we arrived at Mama's school, most of the lights were already switched off and the library was closed. But Mama had taken advantage of her work position to switch on the lights and kept me occupied for a while with the laptop she uses for work. Actually, no one is supposed to be in the library after the library closes. This is a security issue we are talking about. So please don't tell Uncle Kok Weng, Mama's boss, ok? ;)

My 47th Month Birthday Cut
Mama did not plan for this to take place on my 47th month birthday but it was simply that she thinks I needed a haircut and on the day we happened to pass by Yew Tee Point, it happened to be my 47th month birthday.
My parents decided to let me try a different hairstyle rather than the usual trim. They asked for a high slope and this is what they had got. They agreed I look like a naughty kid with this new hair style.

Papa thinks I look like a character in the Simpsons' cartoon.Ok, so high slope is out.
Mama thinks my hair will grow out in time for Shu Shu's wedding. Even now that she is typing, my hair already looks better. :)

My 4th Birthday
This is the first picture Mama took for me on my 4th birthday. Mama thinks the most significant thing that happened on this day was me serving God in the church school as I went around collecting offering. Mama is thankful to God for using me on this day and she hopes I will continue to serve God. This is me after collecting the offering and soon after this picture was taken, a prayer was said to thank God for the offerings.
After church, we went for breakfast at Amoy Street Hwaker Centre and I finally get to eat half-boiled egg again. The aunty at this coffee stall we usually frequent will make an effort to get the eggs more thoroughly cooked if she knows I am eating them.
Yumm.....I prefer to feed myself. :)
After church, we came home where Papa showered me and helped me take my nap while Mama goes out and bought me a simple cake. Mama decided to have the cake cutting session soon after I woke from my nap we had a late breakfast and I went to nap without lunch. So here we are, having another cake cutting session. Mama thinks this time round, I probably got to cut the cake a little more deeply compared to the cake 2 days ago when I was just allowed to make a token cut. :) With that, we kind of ended my birthday celebration. I had turned 4 years old! :D

4th Birthday Celebration
Finally, a birthday celebration with my peers! Last year, Mama asked about having a birthday celebration for my with my classmates but the idea was aborted as it seems troublesome to be having a cake in class with quite a few toddlers around who can't sit still. This year, it's a completely different ball game.
So on the Friday just before my actual birthday, my parents and Nai nai turned up at my school after nap time for my birthday celebration. A week or two before this, Nai nai already started to pack my birthday goody bags. 2 days before this, Papa ordered my birthday cake. As for Mama, well, let's just say she turned up and took some pictures. ;)
This is my Teacher Karen helping us set up the birthday cake.
Me and my friends posing for the camera.
Birthday song in English, Mandarin and Malay too. :)
I know not why I look grouchy in this picture.
This is me in action, giving out the goody bags Nai nai had packed for me lovingly.
So with this starts my birthday celebration weekend. Ok, we really did not do anything too special this year except for this celebration with my school friends. :)
Punggol Waterway Again
Yup, as Mama said in her last post, we'll be back and sure enough, we did come back. This time round, it was a Saturday evening after my nap and we did different activities. Alas, my parents still did not learnt the lesson of the skate scooter well and in the end, had to take turns to lug it around again.
No prize for guessing who took my parents' pictures below. I did.
Would had been scary if I fell into the pond behind me and Papa, right? ;p
See the slope behind my parents in the picture above? Soon after taking the picture, we kind of decided to climb up the slope. Papa egged me on and so I did it with him following behind. Not my city-dweller Mama. She rather walk along the pavement. Still these are such precious moments that she decided to capture them.
We have arrived!
We ended the evening by going to Ponggol Point for grocery shopping and took a late dinner before going home.
Punggol Waterway
A few weeks ago, Papa found a new place we could go as a family. It's called Punggol Waterway or something along that line. So off we went together on that Sunday morning. We were not skipping church. You see, there was an outbreak of hand-foot-mouth-disease in my school that week and 2 of the 4 cases in my school were my classmates and so my parents decided to keep me away from church in case I pass the virus to my classmates in church school classes.
Back to the trip. It was rather a little long to walk from where our car was parked and since Mama brought my skate scooter along, I had to scoot. My parents thought it would be a good way for me to expend some energy. Alas, I soon gave up when I reached the bottom of a bridge and my parents had to take turns to lug the scooter along.
See, we had to walk this far , across a meadow before we came to the bridge below.Me and Papa on the bridge.
Mama knew there was water play and so she brought along change of clothes for me. But she did not prepare any for Papa nor for herself and so I had to play on my own.
It soon became too hot for me (or is it my parents) to be under the hot sun while I played. Noon was drawing near and I was perhaps a little hungry and tired. It did not take much persuasion for me to leave the water play.
This is probably my favourite part of the trip, sharing a can of coke with my parents before we left. Refreshing on a hot day!
Off to car park we will go. Time to get lunch. I was tired and Daddy shouldered me.
We had lunch at Adam Road hawker centre before we went home. We'll be back again! :)
