More Child Labour

Dear all, at 24 months old, I am getting really strong! Just look at what I did when waiting for Papa to get the car.

To top it up, Mama actually placed her handbag and my school bag on my stroller to add on to my load! ;D

Look Silly

Sometimes, Mama just likes to make me look silly. This is one example when she "wore" my pants on my head instead of where it should be. Still, don't you think I look cute? :)

Keyboard

Last month, Papa had officially banned me from the piano as I do not know how to use it properly and so the piano is off limits for me and I am not even supposed to climb onto the chair that the pianists sit on. Mama had to reinforce this when Papa is not at home so as to sing the same tune with Papa about this matter.

But something good came out of it. Mama "rediscovered" Papa's keyboard and after obtaining permission from Papa, I get to use the keyboard for about 10 minutes a day. The short duration is not a restriction from Papa but due to my short attention span.

So Mama will take the keyboard from its stand and place it on the floor and allow me to play with it. Sometimes, she will join me and sometimes, she will read a bible passage or do some other stuff as I play with the keyboard. Just yesterday afternoon, Mama used the song bank function of the keyboard to play the song If You Are Happy and that made me smile as I like this song. :)

Stacking Blocks

Thanks to a comment from grandma, Mama is taking out some of my "old toys" for me to play with. Mama always had this impression that I am not into building blocks and so she seldom play building blocks with me.

This may have well been true of me in the past but no longer. Mama took this picture and I was the one who stacked the top 3 pieces of blocks on the left hand side. Clever leh? :)

Mama thinks it's really good to play toys with me so that I will not keep wanting to watch the TV and I am really willing to oblige her by playing with these toys. Maybe I am not such a TV addict afterall.. :)

Child Labour

Mama read a book about bringing up toddlers and the book mentioned about letting me help out in the kitchen. So for the past 2 days, I had to do some work in the kitchen. This was what I did yesterday.

And this, was for the soup today.

Yup, I actually could remove corn kernels from the cob but Mama had to rinse the kernels before cooking because I did not wash my hands before removing the kernels. You see, Mama just wanted to put me on my high chair to watch her prepare the soup but I was very interested in the corn when she showed it to me and so she just gave me a small piece and taught me to remove the kernels. She thought it was a good way to keep me occupied for a while and so I did.

By the way, I tasted the raw corn and let's just say I am totally uninterested in corn be it raw or cooked corn. Yup, I am not like many kids who like corn. Maybe this takes after Papa too. ;)

Any idea what's cooking tomorrow? ;)

Finger in the Nose

No picture for this one. Or at least, not yet.

For the past week, I had been putting my index finger near my mouth. Mama was not too sure if I was exploring the interiors of my mouth or trying to soothe myself like thumb-sucking (more like finger-sucking in this case). Usually, Mama leaves me to explore my mouth using my fingers but today on our way to church, I actually stuck my nose into my nostrils. Mama did not like this and she removed my finger. I still managed to do it a few times though. Mama hopes it's just a passing phase.

By the way, Mama seldom picks her nose because when she was young, someone told her that picking one's nose will lead to big nostrils and so Mama stopped doing it. Papa laughed at this idea. Is it true that picking one's nose will lead to big nostrils? ;p

Doggie

After fetching me from shcool yesterday, we saw an old uncle walking his dog. I was pretty interested in it and stopped to look for a while. When Uncle decided to go home, I actually followed behind the dog. Mama asked if I wanted to follow doggie home and the uncle actually turned back and passed the leash to me.

Wow! It's the first time I actually hold a dog's leash. Mama tried to take pictures of this but she could not get a good shot of me holding the leash with the dog at the other end. So here we are, with 2 not so good shots. You have to use a little imagination to see that I was actually holding the leash. On hindsight, Mama should have let go of my hand and take a proper shot but she was afraid I may go too near to the dog and get bitten and so she had held my hand and tried to take a good picture. Well, looking at the picture below, perhaps it's not so bad afterall. :)

Papa had mentioned on a few occasions that perhaps they should get me a puppy for a playmate at home but Mama had refused as she does not want to hassle of looking after me and the dog. In addition, it will cost money to send a dog for vaccinations and doctor visits. Mama said she would rather have another child than to keep a dog but at that moment when I was holding to the leash, she did wish I can have a pet puppy. But she soon came to her senses. And now, Papa also decided not to get me a dog. So no canine playmate for me in the near future. :)
