I am 42 Months Old!

Hi Everyone,

I am 42 months old! The picture above was taken on my 42nd month birthday when we were out for dinner. This month, I am getting more interested in phones and had often asked to call Mama on her handphone even though Mama is at home with me.

I am also getting good at bargaining. For example, Mama will let me have 10 minutes playing games on the iPad and I will ask for 8 minutes. What I did not know is that 8 minutes is less than 10 minutes and since I had asked for less time on iPad, Mama is more than willing to give it to me. ;p

I am also listing songs for Mama to sing during bedtime. I will ask for Barney's I love You song, There are 7 Days in a Week (sung to the tune of Clementine), and then Great is Thy Faithfulness. This went on for many nights before Mama realised that if I am really sleepy, I only ask for Great is Thy Faithfulness.

This month, I was also more instructional. At times, I will held up my index finger and ask Mama what is this. Mama knows I want to hear the answer "One" but sometimes, she will tell me it's my pointer and I will either ask her again or correct her about what I intended it to be.

Also, I am showing some fear of being abandoned. It used to be that in the past, if my parents could not get me to leave the playground, leaving me alone in the playground and pretending to go home on their own does not help. But it works quite nicely now to get me to follow them.

This month, Papa brought me to Army Museum when Mama had to work and I love this place. This was the kind of bunk Papa used to sleep in when he was serving his national service.

Papa likes it that there is some open space for me to run around as well as a small obstacle course for children. It's a mini version of what I will probably be going through when I do my national service many years later. In the meantime, see me and Papa go at it! :D

Lot 1Playground!

This is currently one of my favourite haunts after Science Centre. It's found on Level 5 of Lot 1 Shoppping Mall and I really love coming here.

Just the other day, we spent a good 2 hours at this playground. From 4pm to 5pm, I was having fun with the usual fixtures. After 5pm, I was all ready to engage with water play when the taps of the water play features were turned on. See me have fun! :D

I tried many times to come under the water when the pail got too heavy with water and overturned but I always missed the water. ;p

Mama was very proud of me for braving through this one as I always dislike having water over my face.

See, I came through it! :D

papa birthday present

Today is Papa birthday and like any usual Saturdays, he babysits on me as Mama goes to work.

Guess what I given him on his birthday? I have helped him to do household chores. Papa was taking down the laundry from the kitchen and I helped to transfer the laundry to the living room. Not only that, I helped to seperate the hangers from the clothes so that Papa can fold and keep the clothes later. Papa praised me for my efforts and commented that this has been a good birthday present for him today! Haha!

Strawberry Smell!

No picture for this one. How do one capture the smell of strawberry using camera?

But for today, there was a small exciting moment for Mama. When we were in the lift, I suddenly told Mama there is a strawberry smell. Mama took a sniff and yes, I was right! There was indeed the smell of strawberry essence in the lift! I can now verbalise the scents I encounter! Yeah!

To double confirm my new found ability, when I saw Mama rub baby lotion of her hands, I told her there is smell of soap. Hurray!! :D

Child Labour Again

Here is Mama making her child labour again. See the way she drives me so hard. She actually comforted herself with the idea that she should train me to be housework-savvy like some guys she knows such as her own brother as well as my Gu Zhang so that I can be a better husband when I grow up. Mama probably thinks too much. ;p

The Wonder of Time

Once in a while, Mama likes to compare my newborn pictures with those that were recently taken during time of blogging to compare how much I had grown. It has been long since she last did it and today, she felt like doing it again since she just captured some shots of me taking my nap on her bed. So here we go again...

A New Study Table

2 months ago, my parents went out to buy a new cupboard for me and saw this study table at the shop where they got my cupboard. Since it had been on their mind to get me a study table for a while, they decided to buy the study table together with the cupboard.

I wrote a 1 on the whiteboard and said,"One". See my index finger corelating to my writing? :)


On the day the table was delivered to our place in its packaging, I was really excited about it and I had to wait for Papa to come home and assemble it after work. But the novelty soon wore off after a day or two.

The table had not been used much nowadays and Mama have to plan more work for me so that the table can be more fully utilised. :)
