Aunty Siew Lan bought me a stacking ring toy about 3 months back when she was in Malacca with her family for the church camp. It's the kind of toy that has a stand and allows people to throw donut-lookalike rings at the stand. The rings are supposed to go "into" the stand. At some carnivals, if you can get all the rings "into" the stand, you get a prize.
Last week, Mama finally overcame her procrastination and washed them before letting me play with them. Here is a picture of me enjoying it. I actually kicked the stand with all the rings and the rings fell all over the mattress I was on. Then somehow, Mama also doesn't know how, 1 of the rings got "into" my foot.
Well, not quite the way it's supposed to be played but as long as I enjoy it, who cares? Aunty Siew Lan said her children Seth gor-gor and Joy jie jie still enjoy playing with their stacking rings even though they are many months older than me. And in creative ways too. So how's me doing as a rookie at the creativity department? Not bad huh?
Playing the stacking rings is now an activity Mama does with me. She would seat me on her lap and she would be on the foam mattress. Then she will show me how to place the rings into the stand and then she would hold my hand and guide me to put the rings into the stand. When all the rings are placed properly, she would applaud our effort. Not very creative way of playing, she suppose, but she thinks I should learn to play it the "corrrect" way before letting my creative juices flow. That's her excuse for not coming up with more creative ways to play with me. Maybe she should go take a lesson from Seth gor-gor and Joy jie jie... keke....
Papa once saw Mama play the rings with me and said he can't be as nurturing as Mama to play such games with me. Mama said playing this game with me is a no-brainer and Papa can do it too as an activity to fill up his time with me. So much for Mama's nurturing instincts. sigh.....
