Mama thinks I picked up this phrase when I heard her speak on the phone, requesting for 2 towels to be brought to room 363. This was where we stayed for our first family stay-cation at Changi Village Hotel. :D
I heard her and after she put down the phone, I picked up the headset and had an imaginary conversation saying something and punctuating my conversation with "sec three". She thinks I meant 63, the last 2 digits of the room number.
Mama likes the spacious room and was particularly impressed with the playpen although I disliked the playpen and even flipped over it to escape its confinement.
Mama had to work and so after lunch, Papa sent her to Newton before coming back to Changi to check in with me. Mama thinks it should be recorded that me and Papa, with the help of a pram, actually took 2 pieces of luggage, a swimming float, a set of Straits Times newspapers, and checked into the room all on our own. She imagines it must be tough on Papa to handle me, the pram, the luggages and the newspapers. Papa said I helped to carry the newspapers in my hands as he handled the rest.
I enjoyed playing with the sliding doors. The wardrobe and the bathroom had sliding doors and you can imagine how much fun I had when we first entered the room. These 2 pictures were taken when Mama came back from work.

When I first checked in with Papa, I had a lot of fun with these sliding doors. Papa said I spent over an hour on these sliding doors. I would go into the wardrobe, closed the door, climbed onto the safe, open the sliding door and try coming down from the safe on my own. Then, I would do it all over again by varying the actions. In fact, I enjoyed myself so much that Papa actually left me to play with the doors on my own and he went to take a nap. That was a bloody mistake. No, Mama is not using a swear word here. Papa did shed some blood. Read on to find out. :p

You see, after I had my share of fun with the doors and saw my old man nap, I actually went to him and poked my fingers into his nostrils. Papa was rudely awakened and saw blood oozing out of his nostril. As Mama was not in the room with us, Papa had to fix his bleeding nose all on his own and he punished me too. Mama found it really funny I had done this to Papa. Papa said Mama would had scolded me and disowned me if I had done this to her when she napped. Poor Papa. ;p
There were light switches at a level where I could easily reach but I was not to touch them.
When Mama arrived, I was at the pool with Papa. She was supposed to change into her swim suit (another phrase I quickly picked up and associated with swimming) and help take care of me but before she could change, Papa had brought me back to our room as it started raining.

But we took another bus instead after waiting for some time and ended up at Loyang Point before we took another bus back to the hotel. Mama was just very thankful to God we reached the hotel safely as the journey along the way was scary for Mama. Some of the bus stops were deserted and others probably had 2 or 3 persons and there was no overhead bridge in sight for us to cross over and take a bus back to the hotel. Not that Mama would have used the bridge if there was any as she was kind of scared to wait for bus at such a deserted place.
The next day, the buffet breakfast in the hotel was immensely enjoyable for Mama because my parents probably found the most feasible way for our family to enjoy buffet breakfast. Papa woke up the earliest and went for breakfast on his own while me and Mama slept in. Mama then enjoyed breakfast on her own after Papa came back and when she is done, they brought me to the buffet breakfast. See, there was so much food to try. :D
I enjoyed the miso soup which Mama diluted with ice water to make it less hot (easier for me to drink) and less salty. I also ate some rice and scrambled egg and tried a few mouthfuls of mini pancake. I ate some breakfast cereals too and I enjoyed the strawberry yoghurt with Mama though Papa could not understand why we would like something that has a bad smell.
Because Papa and Mama already ate their breakfast, they did not mind attending to me and letting me take my time, even making a little mess. Papa also had a small serving of the meatballs and hash brown while Mama munched on some breakfast cereals and tried the muesli when I was there.
After breakfast, Mama thought of taking me for another swim before we check out since we can have a late checkout at 2pm. Unfortunately, Papa injured my toe when he was opening a door and after attending to my bleeding toe with some pressure and a plaster, it was decided we should not swim. Papa thought it's retribution since I had made his nose bleed the day before and he had accidentally swung a door over my toes.
Mama then started packing to go home since there was not much to do anymore.
Since there was still time, she packed leisurely and we even had time to do some family shots. :D
Papa said I look like Chef Eric Teo in this picture below. Chef Eric is a local celebrity chef who often appears on TV with his glasses perched on his head.
With this, we ended our first family stay-cation.
We had enjoyed ourselves and Mama is thankful to Papa who brought us here. Next stay-cation, where will we go? Stay tuned to find out... :D

A lot of bloodshed in ur staycation! While we do sympathise with my brother for getting his nose jabbed, we think it's funny what made Daniel decide to stick his fingers into his nostrils in so hard!! Wonder what he was thinking...... i heard the hotel with the pool on top (dont knw the name) with the casino or something is quite nice.. u might wana go there for holiday - but could be pricey!
Yes, Cheyanne! I still can't help giggling about the jabbing incident. I just find it really funny!! Actually, on hindsight, there is already some "forewarning".
1) Daniel learnt to make snoring noise when he watched Peppa Pig DVD and from then on, he will pinch the nose of whoever pretends to sleep in front of him. Mum had told us more than once about the occasion when Daniel pinched her nose when she pretended to sleep and snored. Alex also asked us who taught Daniel to pinch the nose of the "snorer" as he demonstrated snoring and Daniel went to pinch his nose right in front of us.
2) Daniel had tried to put his finger into my nostrils too on a few occasions (I was not snoring then), presumably for exploratory purposes and I had stopped him from doing so.
Hence, it was not really an out of the blue thing. There were some signs already.. Still, I was very tickled by it..And yes, I also do not know what made Daniel stick his fingers into his nostrils so hard...
HA HA HA!!!! It's funny how he's developing his own 'version' of what he sees around him.. u shud really keep a journal or something of his growing up!
Yes, Cheyanne. I still had a scrapbook which I hardly write anything. So I guess this blog will document his growing days...
